Meet our talented Music Together® teachers!
Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with young children and the adults who love them.
All teachers have successfully completed the Music Together® Teacher Training, which is created through research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Patti Papworth
Patti Papworth has been involved in music throughout her life. She holds a B.A. degree in vocal performance from Utah State University, is an accomplished classical and jazz musician, and frequently performs in musical theater. Patti has been teaching Music Together since 1999 and enjoys working with young children. In addition to teaching Music Together, Patti maintains a private piano and voice studio.
Families who participate in Music Together classes with Patti really enjoy her energy and style. One parent commented, "We have been fortunate enough to have Miss Patti as Sophia’s instructor for both sessions. She is a true natural at teaching and working with young children. Her beautiful voice, great attitude and warm smile make every child in the room truly enjoy this program and ultimately have a love for the art of music. Since beginning the class several months ago, my husband and I cannot get into a vehicle without Sophia asking us to put in her favorite Music Together CD. We cannot ignore her attempts at singing songs before and after her naps or when playing. This just makes us smile."

Ruth Abramovitch
Ruth Abramovitch, known as "Miss Ruty" to her young students, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, a Bachelor of Arts in Hebrew Education from Machon Greenberg College in Jerusalem, Israel; and a Master of Social Work from the University of Law and Social Studies, Buenos Aires Argentina. Before coming to Music Together, Ruth has worked as a foreign language, drama, and classroom pre-kindergarten teacher in pre-schools located in Argentina, Israel, and Fairfax, Virginia. A creative and talented educator, Ruth is fluent in both Spanish and Hebrew, as well as English. She uses her language and musical skills to inspire and encourage learning in each child she encounters.
What do her students say about her? "My daughter started attending Music Together classes shortly after she turned two years old. She was initially hesitant about the new class environment, but quickly became comfortable with her peers and surroundings and transitioned to an active class participant. I am confident that Ms. Ruty deserves much of the credit for this transformation! Her ability to read students and respond to them in a way that fosters a warm and welcoming environment enables them to thrive. I also appreciated Ms. Ruty’s willingness to include some Spanish language, and consider it a major bonus."

Sheralie Broadbent
Sheralie grew up in a very musical family, spending time singing around the piano and guitar as a child. Music Together feels like an extension of that happy time! She started playing the piano at age 4, and also studied violin, voice, conducting and organ. She graduated with a BA in Music from BYU in 2001, where she studied organ and elementary music education. Sheralie has worked as a church organist for 25 years, and as a choral director for children and adults around the world, including El Salvador, Canada, India and Perú.
Sheralie came to Music Together as a parent in 2004, when she found it to be the best way to provide a musical foundation for her own large family. When she's not teaching Music Together or sharing her musical talents with the community, Sheralie coaches her own children at home who study the cello, guitar and violin. Sheralie believes music is truly the universal language that unites us all, and makes the world a beautiful place.
